SuzyQue

Who is SuzyQue?

I am  a woman in her 60's and am engaged to a wonderful man, John (bagga donuts). I am also the mother of 4 amazing daughters (and 2 grand daughters). I am trying to create and share my passions with the world while hopefully generating enough income to live a modest life.  I have created several lines  of products for different passions.

Miniaques

It all started with making miniatures and showing them off on Miniaques.com. I also have an Etsy store that am constantly adding new items. I have been in the miniature hobby since the 70's. I belong to a mini group called Phillyminiatics. I am currently the President of the group and we meet monthly in Warminster, PA.  My #4 daughter, Colleen, and I also volunteer at the Philadelphia Miniaturia Show and we work the Children's  Tables for N.A.M.E, National Association of Miniaturist Enthusiasts. We gather donations all year from other hobbiests for the table, which is for children only and at children prices. Trying to encourage the new generation into the hobby.

QueAquatics

I am also very passionate about my pets which consist of 40 aquariums full of  ornamental fish from all over the world, terrariums, vivariums and paludariums which house my amphibians and  reptiles. Outside I have a small koi pond, Silkie chickens, duck and a rabbit. Inside the house in our living quarters is my Severe Macaw and kitten.  I love to share my experiences on my YouTube channel called QueAquatics and Exotics. I also belong to  the Bucks County Aquarium Society where I just took on the Membership role. The more I learn about the hobby the more I realize I don't know.  I want to help others in keeping these animals by sharing my experience and information. The more information we have the better we can decide how to care for our animals.

Mugged by Que

Last  Christmas my #1 daughter, Amy, and son-in-law, Kyle, gave me all the ingredients to start my own business for sublimating coffee mugs. I call it Mugged by Que. I have found that this is a great way to express my creativity in creating digital designs and using heat to transfer the designs onto items such as coffee mugs, coasters, license plates, bookmarks, mouse pads, ornaments, Tee shirts and any other items I find that are suitable. I just recently launched my business and website. This is exciting!!

SuzyQue on Wheels

Over the past few years I have watched my #2 daughter , Katie, going around town on quad roller skates. She was having so much fun but when she starting posting a video a day for an entire year is when I really saw the progression of skating. She looked so graceful and was having a blast. So much so that I bought a pair of skates and started to watch YouTube channels to learn how to skate properly. I tried staying erect while on wheels and even moving a bit. I remember skating as a child,  5 decades ago,  but it was not like riding a bike. Nothing came back to me. As I started to be able to go forward and stop I ventured into a skating rink and outside in empty parking lots. The feeling was so freeing, almost like when i ride my motorcycle, but this took more physical exertion . I see this as a positive side effect as I am a bit fluffy.

Well, one day I was practicing skating in a parking lot when I fell. I unfortunately broke my wrist and I had to take some time to recover.  A year later and I am back. At the time of writing this I am on day 112 of a 365 day challenge that  I chose to fulfill. I started a different YouTube channel, SuzyQue17, to keep a digital journal of my every day progress.  I currently go to two rinks and take lessons a few times a week. One of the lessons I take with my granddaughter, Zoey, and the other with my #2 daughter. What a great family fun activity. I feel like I am playing a real life video game because as I become fluent at a certain skill it will open  up a whole new level of skating.  I hope my videos aren't too cringey to watch but I am getting better every day. One day I hope to dance on wheels with my granddaughter.

Plantique101

My fascination with houseplants goes back a few decades. So much so that my friend CarolAnn and I took some college courses at Temple for Horticulture and Plant Propagation.  I have a YouTube channel called Plantique101 where I share my How to's and experiences. Plants , aquariums and ponds have a symbiotic relationship.  I have started my own aquaponics garden to create enough vegatables for my animals and family. If I could I would create my own rain forest both inside and outside of my home. I would love to create a small greenhouse someday. I think I am out of room on this page so stay tuned my adventures in home schooling with my #3 daughter, Sarah. Hmmm...
